9:00AM Registration begins
9:30AM Scheduling of the Open Space room begins.
10:00AM Release party recap and other smart starts for the day.
10:15AM Informal Learning and Web 2.0. Jay Cross from Internet Time has written this great book (I read the pre-release version) called Informal Learning, which is in large part what we are doing when we host conversations such as Web 2point2 and is in large part the purpose of BrainJams. (Jay Cross)
11:00AM Break
11:15AM Managing and Sustaining Online Communities for the Longer Run. Great post and great questions from a long time member of the Well whose experience will be of great value to community managers and developers. According to her excellent blog post, she is hoping to understand your perspective on the impact of Web 2.0 on some of the online communities that have been around a while. Highly suggested reading! (Gail Ann Williams)
12:00PM Lunch
1:00PM Reputation & Trust Networks. This is one that we have talked a lot about over the last few weeks in the many cities I have visited. In light of that Craigslist Scammer Michael Crooks recent activities and our ongoing discussion around disclsoure, this is one topic that was missing from the proposals, but is of the utmost importance for us to discuss. (Needs Discussion Leader)
1:45PM Break
2:00PM Disclosure Cafe: Inspired by our Round Table a few weeks ago called Talking About Disclsoure, we are going to host a “World Cafe” formatted discussion on the topic focused on 3 rounds of questions to be discussed in small groups of 5-6 people each. This is in effect what we did with the Social Media to Corporate Media workshop that was held on October 23, 2006, but more focused on producing a specific outcome. We hope to end this session with a set of guidelines we can publish on what we feel is the right way and wrong way to handle disclosure, the potential solutions (systems and processes) and consequences for abusing the public trust. (Chris Heuer facilitates, everyone leads)
3:45PM Break
4:00PM Web 2.3 and Beyond: Bitching about what we don’t have ad envisioning what we want.. What do we really need from our communication and collaboration tools that is not being offered today? Brian Sollis of Future Works PR grasped onto this idea when I first told him about my thoughts for Web 2point2 and has not let go since. He wrote a brief blog post on the subject which you should read, but I want to see if we can be even more focused by having a group bitch session that will hopefully point out much needed solutions, or identifying ones that already exist to solve our toughest problems. (Brian Sollis)
5:00PM Surprise (please note this session was switched to end of day)
